Adare Human Resource Management leading experts in Employment Law, Industrial Relations and best practice Human Resource Management, are delighted to invite you to our upcoming Workplace Relations Commission Mock Adjudication Hearing.

This event will provide you with a unique opportunity of first-hand experience from the comfort of your seat to learn directly from an Adjudication Officer and Senior ER/IR Practitioners. It will equip all attendees with the framework needed to navigate the adjudicating process and the confidence to effectively manage claims.

Adjudicating Participants:

Opening Address:

There will be an opening address from Kieran Mulvey (Former Director General of the Workplace Relations Commission and current Chairman of Adare Human Resource Management).

Adjudication Officer:

Pat Brady - Adjudication Officer at the Workplace Relations Commission

Pat currently holds a number of senior positions including: Director of Workplace Solutions, Chairman of Chambers Ireland, and Chairman of the Board at DIT Students Union Director, as well as holding previous positions at the Dublin Resolution Centre and Chief Executive at Associated Craft Butcher Ireland. Pat was also an official at SIPTU for 17 years. As an Adjudicator for the Workplace Relations Commission Pat’s role involves dispute resolution in the form of investigations, adjudication and arbitration. Adjudication Officers have the responsibility of hearing cases from parties at the WRC and deciding whether the complaint is well founded. Pat is at the forefront of the newly established Workplace Relations Commission, and is one of the best placed individuals to adjudicate and discuss any outcomes which may arise from the Mock Workplace Relations Commission.

Katie RidgeHead of Employer Relations, Adare Human Resource Management

Katie Ridge, Chartered MCIPD, Barrister at Law, has practical Human Resource experience combined with substantial employment law knowledge and workplace investigation know how. She has supported many Organisations by providing practical legal and professional advice and guidance. Katie has a broad range of employment law experience specialising in workplace investigations, grievance and disciplinary matters, as well as representing Organisations in the Workplace Relations Commission and Labour Court. Prior to joining Adare Human Resource Management, Katie has supported a diverse range of private, not-for-profit and public sector Organisations. She has worked as a barrister for 15 years in addition to her 10 years working within HR roles.  Katie’s role is to support Adare Human Resource Management clients in the provision of timely and practical employment law advice and guidance.

Tommy Cummins - Head of Industrial Relations, Adare Human Resource Management

Tommy Cummins advises Adare Human Resource Management clients on significant and large scale industrial relations issues. Tommy regularly represents Organisations in the Workplace Relations Commission and the Labour Court. In his role of Head of Industrial Relations, Tommy assists unionised and non-unionised Organisations in the design, development and delivery of Organisational change through an Employee Relations framework, including redefinition of established IR processes and introduction of Pay and Reward structures to drive tangible productivity gain within the Organisation. Prior to working with Adare Human Resource Management, Tommy worked for over 25 years in a senior HR capacity within diverse multinational organisations such as Fujitsu Microelectronics, IBM and AXA Insurance. Tommy’s achievements have been recognised within the fields of IR and HR when he was an invited speaker at previous IRN Conferences and also a Winner of the CIPD Watson Wyatt HR Innovation Award.
