Introducing Duologue, a series of informal virtual fireside chats with cross-sectoral HR leaders and influencers who are helping to shape Ireland’s business landscape.
These virtual events are relaxed conversations with our guests about their experience within the industry, insights they've learned along the way and the trends that they feel will shape HR in the coming years.
Duologue will hear from people from diverse sectors in Irish business each week, sharing their opinions on topical issues affecting all aspects of human resources, industrial relations and employment laws. The purpose is to hear from different views to help form a better understanding of the evolving HR landscape and inform the HR conversation.

Following on from the success of the first of our Duologue events which took place earlier in March with Kieran Mulvey, Chairperson of Adare Human Resource Management and ex-Chief Executive of the Labour Relations Commission and Kevin Foley, Chairman of the Labour Court, we are delighted to announce the second event in our Duologue series.
On March 16th, Derek McKay, Managing Director of Adare Human Resource Management will be in conversation with Andrea Clarkson, Diversity Programs Lead at Google.
Derek and Andrea will talk about what Organisations could do not just to strengthen the diversity and inclusion agenda within the workplace, but to drive it. Seeking to better understand both the Organisational benefits and the challenges faced with D&I, as well as what Google is doing on their journey, will feature as part of the conversation.

Andrea is Diversity Programs Lead at Google, a company known for their innovative technologies, products, service and for the people behind them. She has been with Google for over seven years and is responsible for Diversity Programs in EMEA Staffing for Google’s Sales, Marketing & Global Advisory functions. Andrea has vast experience and expertise in leading, designing and executing innovative Talent, Diversity, Equality and Inclusion strategies and is also a member of the Global Business Staffing Leadership team at Google. Prior to joining Google, Andrea worked with Telefonica, Morgan McKinley Premier Group and APB Recruitment.
Derek McKay
Managing Director of Adare Human Resource Management
Derek McKay, BBS, Chartered MCIPD, is an experienced Human Resource and Employment Law practitioner who has worked extensively in the private, not-for-profit and public sectors. Derek’s role involves overseeing the HR and Employment Law support services provided to clients across a wide range of sectors by the team of consultants within Adare Human Resource Management. Derek regularly speaks at seminars for companies and associations throughout the country on HR and Employment related topics and contributes to numerous publications in this area also. Prior to setting up Adare Human Resource Management in 2003, Derek worked in the Human Resource Departments in a number of multinational organisations.
Derek is currently a member of the CIPD National Committee and a member of Workplace and Skills Taskforce with Chambers Ireland.
