  • Study Shows One in Ten Dismissals Relate to Bullying

    In a newly published study, conducted by researchers at the National Anti-Bullying Research and Resource Centre in DCU, data shows that one in ten employee cases referred under the Unfair Dismissals Acts to the EAT between June 2013 and September 2015, relate in one way or another to bullying at work being a factor in the dismissal in question.

  • EAT Awards €20,200 to Worker Who Was “Isolated”

    The case (REF UD853/2014) which was published last week on the re-vamped and improved Workplace Relations Commission web-site, was heard at the EAT last July and very much illustrates the dangers all Employers must remain aware of in the area of workplace bullying, including not only the general legislation around the subject but the critical importance of having a clear policy on bullying and harassment in the workplace.
