    The perils of not properly planning and executing an appropriate impartial workplace investigation and subsequent disciplinary process were laid bare in a recent Labour Court Decision under the Industrial Relations Acts. The case highlights how professionals can apparently misunderstand or get confused in relation to differentiating between a workplace investigation and a disciplinary investigation, often with serious consequences for all concerned.
