Company Volunteer Day

Adare Human Resource Management is driven by a passion to support the community and the Team Hope Christmas Shoe Box Appeal provided a practical avenue for expressing this commitment.

Team Hope’s Christmas Shoebox Appeal stands as an annual initiative delivering gifts directly into the hands of children impacted by poverty. These shoebox gifts often represent the sole present a child receives during the Christmas season, bringing incredible joy. Since 2010, Team Hope has successfully delivered over 2.5 million Shoebox gifts to vulnerable children worldwide.

Adare Human Resource Management believes in the significance of this cause and enjoyed participating in the annual Shoe Box Appeal drive last week.

Our team at Adare Human Resource Management had an amazing day volunteering at one of the 50 checking centres as part of the Team Hope Christmas Shoe Box Appeal. Since 2010, Team Hope has successfully delivered over 2.5 million Shoebox gifts to vulnerable children worldwide.

Developing Employee Volunteer Programmes
If your Organisation is considering developing an Employee Volunteer Programme, there are a few things to consider:

Your community – is there a specific project that your Employees can get involved in?
Aligned values– ensure any programme is in line with your Organisation’s overall objectives, goals, values and vision.

Employee involvement – make sure you seek the input of your Employees to get buy-in.

Assess and measure – as with any initiative, it is important that volunteer programmes are beneficial to Employees, the community and your Organisation. It’s important that time off to volunteer is actually contributing to the community.

Acknowledge success – reward those Employees who volunteer and recognise their successes.
