Location: Online via Zoom

What is this webinar about?

The Irish Human Rights and Equality Commission (IHREC) published a new Code of Practice in March 2022 on Sexual Harassment & Harassment at Work. The provisions laid out in the code are admissible in evidence in proceedings before the Courts, the Workplace Relations Commission and the Labour Court.

The Code aims to provide guidance to Employers, trade unions and Employees on:

  • The meaning of sexual harassment and harassment in the workplace

  • How it can be prevented

  • Steps to ensure procedures are in place to deal with the issue and how to prevent it reoccurring

  • Addressing and resolving complaints

  • The development of a comprehensive, effective and accessible policy that will minimise sexual harassment and harassment in the workplace.

So, what changes should Organisations make (or have made already) to their Anti-Harassment and Sexual Harassment policy and procedure?

How will the updated Code of Practice impact decisions in the Workplace Relations Commission (WRC) and Labour Court?

What are the risks for Organisations in not implementing the updated Code of Practice?

Join us at our upcoming webinar for answers to these key questions and more, where we share our experience of supporting Organisations.

At the webinar, we will be covering:

  • Harassment and Sexual Harassment in the Workplace – requirements under the Code of Practice and what changes Organisations should make to their policy and procedure

  • Understanding the Informal and Formal Processes when managing complaints of Harassment and Sexual Harassment in the Workplace

  • Key Case Law
