  • WRC Publish Customer Service Charter & Complaints Procedure

    This month has seen severe criticism of the Workplace Relations Commission on foot of a recent survey from legal and senior HR practitioners. Concurrent with this the WRC have this month published a very comprehensive Customer Service Charter and Complaints Procedure. The Charter sets out, what the Commission says are “the standards and level of service you can expect when dealing with our Organisation”. Included are the levels of service users are “entitled to expect” in dealings with the WRC.

  • Pay Agenda 2017 Major Concern As Unions Set High “Floor”

    In 2008 the last of the so-called National Partnership Agreements passed by mostly unimplemented. That Agreement was entitled “Towards 2016”, or the abbreviated “T-16” as it was known to us IR anoraks. Roll on 2016 and we discover that after years in which the words “Social Partnership” was frowned upon by many, as something that contributed to the total collapse of the economy, we now find ourselves as an economy that is in danger of being incapable to control the obvious alternative to Social Partnership – Free Collective Bargaining.
