EMPLOYMENT EQUALITY GRANT SCHEME – applications now being accepted
Adare Human Resource Management is working with the Equality Authority to promote Equality and Diversity within Organisations.
Through a Grant Scheme that has been in place since 2003, we have successfully worked with in excess of 200 Organisations throughout the country under the Grant Scheme/Equality Initiative.
This scheme is available at no financial cost to employers.
This Scheme is available for qualifying Organisations (private organizations that have between 50 – 250 employees) to get professional advice to assist in the development/review/ implementation of Employment Equality policies and procedures and to deliver training to managers and employees.
This is a great opportunity for Organisations to avail of professional advice on implementing / developing / reviewing policies to suit your organisational needs.
The support provided covers:
- Drafting / Reviewing Equal Opportunities and Dignity at Work Policies;
- Drafting / Reviewing Harassment and Sexual Harassment Policies;
- Putting in place / Updating Legislative Leave policies such as maternity, parental, force majeure leave and Non-Legislative Leave such as paternity and compassionate leave;
- Ensuring Equality within Recruitment and Selection procedures;
- Management Training on Equality, Harassment and Sexual Harassment;
- Employee Awareness Sessions on Equality and Dignity at Work.
How does the scheme work?
A brief application form (available from Adare HRM) is submitted to the Equality Authority. Final applications are being considered in September 2010 so any interested organisations should contact Derek McKay to discuss further, dmckay@adarehrm.ie
