There are very specific requirements set out for Organisations to adhere to in relation to terms and conditions of employment, such as the specific details in relation to the offer of employment to Employees, including working hours, rates of pay, the Organisations registered business address, and so forth. Employers are required to set out these terms to Employees within 2 months of their commencing employment.
Cases that the Adare Human Resource Management team have analysed below include cases relating to whether a person is an actual Employee or a Contractor with an Organisation, unilateral changes to terms and conditions, and the importance of managing any such proposed changes to an Employee’s terms conditions.
Organisations should examine these cases, and summaries, and take note of the key points for consideration prior to making any decisions in relation to terms and conditions of employment.
