D. Cases

Current Legislation regarding Ireland’s Retirement and Pension schemes can be vague unless stated in the contract of employment or due to Organisational custom and practice. Given that the State Pension age is continuing to evolve, this area is one where Organisations should consider what best practice involves.

The team at Adare Human Resource management can assist Organisations to more completely understand Ireland’s Retirement and Pension entitlements through key employment law cases, particularly cases relating to enforcement of retirement age, the importance of including a retirement age in your contracts, and the legitimate aim of including a retirement age in a contract of employment.

The Adare HRM and law consultants have analysed current cases in order for Organisations to benefit from past experience and to explore how employment legislation applies in this area. Each case can be read in full with a detailed summary included in order to fully understand key discussion points.

Below are a selection of Retirement cases from 2009 - 2014 the team at Adare Human Resource Management have compiled for your viewing. Some are private viewing for our members. To access the archive of cases please log in or sign up to Linea.
