Length of Notice to be given by the Employer

The following table sets out the minimum periods of notice which an Employer must provide to an Employee where the Employer is providing notice of termination of employment.  This may arise in situations such as a dismissal or redundancy of the Employee.  An Employee’s right to notice is determined in legislation by their length of service.  However, where a longer notice period is provided for in the contract of employment, then the Employer is bound by this.
