Adare Human Resource Management was appointed to a panel of consultants with the Equality Authority in 2003 and since then has successfully worked with hundreds of companies throughout the country under the Grants Scheme to Promote Equality at the Level of the Enterprise. This scheme, which is free of charge to SME’s, is in place to assist Small to Medium Sized Enterprises (SMEs) to implement a planned and systematic approach to equality in their workplaces. This approach, which involves developing an appropriate system to respond to equality and diversity, enables an SME to move away from ad hoc, reactive or informal responses to equality and diversity. The scheme is available for organisations with less than 250 employees. This scheme is funded by the European Social Fund (www.esf.ie/en/hci-overview.aspx) and the Equality Authority (www.equality.ie) and is free of charge for the organisations involved.
